The phrase “certified refurbished” must not be used as a decorative marketing label. It requires an approved refurbishment standard and product-specific evidence.
Required product disclosures
- Who performed the refurbishment or inspection.
- Functional tests completed and their scope.
- Cosmetic grade and known limitations.
- Battery assessment where applicable.
- Included accessories and packaging condition.
- Warranty provider, period and territory.
- Return eligibility and restrictions.
Current catalog boundary
The storefront must show refurbished products only when active catalog records support the classification and required disclosures. A collection name or theme section alone is not evidence.
Availability
When no qualifying products are published, the page must show an unavailable state rather than substitute new, open-box or unverified inventory.
